Enhance your holidays with a sailing excursion in Menorca.
Follow a spectacular route along the coast with fellow adventurers.
We start by getting to know the port of Mahon, the biggest natural port in Europe. You will see the ‘Isla del Rey’ (King’s Island), named after Alfonso lll who landed here to reclaim Menorca for Spain in 1287 and the Isla de Lazareto, a quarantine base built by the British in 1711. Steve, your skipper, will be pleased to answer any questions that you have as he tells you something about the history of the island and the places of interest you will be seeing. Once clear of the port we will turn either to the North or to the South, depending on the prevailing wind and sea conditions. The North. We will sail for a couple of hours, following the coast, until we reach the nature reserve of the Isla Colom. There we will anchor in crystal clear waters off a virgin beach only accessible by boat. The South. We will sail towards the Isla del Aire (Windy Island) passing through the turquoise waters off Punta Prima and sailing close inshore until we reach Cala Biniparratx, a beautiful cove difficult to reach from the land.
During the morning (conditions permitting) we will make a short stop to enjoy a swim and an aperitif. Once we arrive at our destination we will drop anchor for the lunch stop when there will be plenty of time to relax, sunbathe, have a drink or two and maybe swim ashore or take the dinghy to explore the area. We recommend that you bring along your mask and snorkel as you may be lucky enough to see lots of marine life. While you are enjoying all there is to offer, Steve will be preparing a tasty buffet lunch of fresh produce that Pili will have brought on board that same morning. There will be plenty of salad, a rice or pasta dish, a Spanish omelette, a tuna pastry, fresh fruit and a naughty sweet! You will see that the fridge will be full of soft drinks, beers, cold water and, of course, some Lambrusco and white wine, all of which you can help yourself to during the day. Cheers!
Enjoy a peaceful seven day sail around the spectacular coast of Menorca.
Discover coves only accessible by sea and drop anchor under the stars off deserted beaches.
Seven days sailing on our yacht, stopping and dropping anchor wherever and whenever you want. The captain will always be ready and willing to make your trip a memorable one. We will start off from the port of Mahón, and depending on the wind direction, will set off for a north or south sail. We will sail and motor, stopping at deserted beaches so you can enjoy their peace and beauty.
At night, if its warm enough and it usually is, we can go in the water with our snorkel equipment and experience the spectacular fluorescent underwater plankton under a blanket of stars. We can also moor in a port, like Fornells, so you can dine in a restaurant and try some of Menorca’s special cuisine, like the famous “lobster caldereta”. If you prefer, the yacht is fully equipped for cooking aboard.
